We’re all familiar with the saying – breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, dinner like a pauper. Like many others, I believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day because it fuels the body and the brain after an overnight fast.
For me, there is nothing quite like having a cooked breakfast but in reality, how many of us have the time to cook in the morning when we are rushing around trying to get the kids off to school and out the door to work?
That’s the beauty about a stay in a hotel. I see it all the time here at The Station Hotel – people love being able to relax and enjoy a leisurely breakfast where they can have the time to enjoy great food and the company of those around them.
And it seems that our guests are not the only ones who feel that way. A survey by travel website Skift found that breakfast was the thing that customers looked forward to more than anything else, with 42% rating it higher than free WiFi, a possible room upgrade or a gym.
I always think there’s a lovely feeling to Pagodas Restaurant during the breakfast shift. Guests have enjoyed a relaxing night in one of our luxurious rooms and come down well-rested and ready for the day ahead.
We serve a continental buffet breakfast with cereals, meat and cheese, fruit and pastries but for me it just has to be a speciality breakfast cooked to order. Whether it’s eggs of your choice with smoked salmon or our local butcher sausages and bacon, everything that comes from the kitchen is simply mouth-watering.
