The River Spey, the fastest-flowing river in Scotland, is one of the most famous salmon and sea trout rivers in the world, attracting fisherman from around the globe.
The designated Special Area of Conservation supports one of the largest salmon populations in Scotland and runs for more than 100 miles. It’s also home to speycasting – a technique used in fly fishing requiring a heavier fly rod, called a Spey Rod.
The River Spey fishing season opens in February, and closes at the end of September.
